Where Do Your Bible Beliefs Land?

Doctrine & Scripture View Quiz

1. Scripture & Authority A. Inspired and without error in all it teaches. B. Inspired and authoritative, though not always literal. C. Contains God’s word but tradition and reason are equal.

2. Human Nature A. Spiritually dead, unable to choose God without sovereign grace. B. Sinful but able to respond to God’s call by free will, aided by grace. C. Basically good and mainly needs guidance.

3. Salvation A. God chooses and saves whom He wills. B. God offers salvation to all; people must accept or reject. C. Living a good life is the path to salvation.

9. Worship Style A. Guided by Scripture’s specific commands (Word, prayer, sacraments, simple song). B. Guided by biblical principles but open to creative expression. C. Primarily about personal spiritual experience or cultural relevance.

10. Assurance of Salvation A. God keeps His own; they will persevere to the end. B. A believer can walk away and forfeit salvation. C. Salvation is a lifelong moral journey, not a single moment.

What Do These Results Mean?

Reformed / Calvinistic

Often emphasizes God’s sovereignty, salvation by grace alone, and the “five points of Calvinism.”

Key ideas: God chooses and keeps His people; Scripture as final authority.

Wesleyan / Arminian / Evangelical

Highlights God’s love for all people and the human ability—by God’s grace—to accept or reject Him.

Key ideas: free will, personal holiness, and the call to share the gospel with everyone.

Liberal / Progressive / Mainline

Tends to focus on broad moral principles, social justice, and interpreting Scripture through culture and reason as well as tradition.
