This is it—Part 6 of our FEARLESS series. We’ve faced down opposition, storms, flames, giants, and fear of sharing our faith.
Now it’s time to talk about something that quietly rattles all of us…
The Unknown.
Not knowing where things are going.
Not having the answers.
Not seeing the next step.
But God’s Word is clear:
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9 (ESV)
When you don’t know what’s next—He still does.
Context Check: Joshua’s Assignment
Joshua was stepping into Moses’ shoes. Big shoes. He was called to lead an entire nation into a land filled with unknowns, enemies, and challenges. He didn’t have a map, just a mission: trust and obey.
God didn’t give him a detailed plan.
He gave him a promise: “I will be with you.”
That was enough.
What Fearless Faith Looks Like in the Unknown
Fearless doesn’t mean you see it all.
It means you walk anyway.
You don’t need all the answers to take the next step.
You don’t need clarity to obey.
You don’t need a spotlight on the whole road—just enough light to take one step forward.
Faith > Feelings
Let’s be honest.
Not knowing the future can mess with us.
We like control. We like clarity. But God often grows us most when we don’t have either.
Fearless faith trusts that even when we can’t see ahead, we’re still being led.
Reflection Questions:
• Are you waiting for clarity before obeying something God already called you to do?
• What’s one area of your life where fear of the unknown is holding you back?
• How can you replace that fear with trust this week?
